The Austrian chamber of agriculture is an important Organisation for Austrian farmers and forest owners in case of consulting, representation to the state and other industries.

PEFC is a global umbrella organisation for the assessment of and mutual recognition of national forest certification schemes developed in a multi-stakeholder process. These national schemes build upon the inter-governmental processes for the promotion of sustainable forest management, a series of on-going mechanisms supported by 149 governments in the world covering 85% of the world's forest area.

Within this cooperation the most important organisations of the value chain forest, wood and paper are working together. In the centre of cooperation are Austrian topics which are verified with international themes.


The Austrian biomass alliance is lobbying for sustainable and ecological energy supply in Austria by increasing the usage of biomass in Austrians energy system.
